The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto is proud to be putting on our 3rd annual Mindfest!

Mindfest is an all-day mental health and wellness fair, taking place on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 to kick-off National Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Mindfest aims to raise awareness about mental health, highlight the support systems available to those who need them, and strives to erase mental health stigma. Mindfest has fun exhibit booths, mental health community organization representatives, workshops, guest speakers, stand-up comedy, yoga and other interactive activities. The event is open to the public, though our focus is on educating students about mental health issues and concerns while working to erase the stigma that those who live with mental illness face.

This will be a full-day event held at the Hart House, in collaboration with U of T Student Health and Wellness, Hart House, Workman Arts, Ryerson and OCAD Universities. Planned activities include exhibit booths, interactive workshops and guest speakers. To wrap up the day, join us for the Mindfest Walk through Downtown Toronto, where we’ll stop at Ryerson University for our Mindfest finale party! Join us in the evening for entertainment, food, exhibits and more!

Please visit www.mindfest.ca to see the day’s full workshop & speaker line-up!
