Humanities-IPE Lunch and Learns for 2016-17

The Inter-professional Education-Health Humanities Lunch and Learns for this term will begin on September 22nd.

All of these one hour sessions are held at 500 University Avenue at noon.

Topic: Mindfulness

In today’s lunch we will explore how mindfulness can enhance self-care, therapeutic presence and inter-professional communication, by softening our defenses and deepening our compassion and empathy for ourselves and others. The session will include brief talks, meditation, journaling, reflection and sharing in pairs. Please bring a notebook or digital device to write with.”

Description: During this interactive ‘lunch and learn’ session, participants will have the opportunity to review key competencies of IP collaboration. Discuss the facilitators/barriers to working collaboratively on an IP team and reflect on your own practice in working within an IP team and share strategies that foster IP collaboration.
