Inaugural CAHH/ ACSHS executive committee

We are thrilled to announce a strong slate of creative, committed people who have offered to stand as candidates for positions on our inaugural CAHH/ ACSHS executive committee!!

This is an exciting time in the trajectory of our new association called THE CANADIAN ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH HUMANITIES / L’ASSOCIATION CANADIENNE DES SCIENCES HUMAINES EN SANTE.

While a lot has already been accomplished, ensuring a good foundation for growth … there is much to do!

Our incoming executive committee will create policies and set a direction to foster the growth and development of our new national, health humanities organization and bring it to the next level.

For the upcoming election, we are following a two-fold process:

  1. Paid registered attendees at this year’s Creating Space will participate in the election of executive committee officers in-person, via submission of hand-completed ballots, at the upcoming special inaugural meeting of CAHH/ ACSHS on Friday, April 27th from 5 :15-6:00 pm EST.
  2. Anyone who is NOT attending this year’s meeting in Halifax, but HAS previously attended a Creating Space meeting as a paid registrant is eligible to vote online. Online voting closes on April 27th at 4:00 pm EST.

If you are attending the Creating Space meeting in Halifax, plan to join us in person for this historic inaugural meeting, which will be followed by a small celebratory reception to mark this very special occasion.

If you are not attending Creating Space, but are eligible to vote onlineclick here.

Online voting closes on April 27th at 4:00 pm EST.

Both in-person, and online votes will be counted. Results of voting will be announced during our special inaugural meeting on Friday, and all candidates will be notified as soon as possible.

We greatly appreciate all who have agreed to have their name stand for election to our inaugural executive committee!! Individuals who are not voted into an executive committee position will be approached and asked if they would be willing to stand for an elected position as a representative on the Governing Council at the AGM next year. Members of the inaugural CAHH/ ACSHS Executive Committee will develop a process for the election of representative members of the CAHH/ ACSHS Governing Council.

Thank you for your support,

With best, warm regards!
