Older Adult Medicine Rotation

Older Adult Medicine (OAM) rotation is a new mandatory clinical rotation that is offered in the latter half of the 4th year MD Program during Transition to Residency (TTR). For the 2023/24 academic year it is being run as a pilot and it will be mandatory for all learners during 2024/25.

This site has information and resources to help prepare OAM preceptors from family medicine, geriatric medicine, and geriatric psychiatry to create an effective learning environment for this rotation.

The faculty development session, recording, and tutor manual were very helpful.  I felt well prepared going into it without prior experience, and I felt well supported at the session, with the just-in-time opportunity for coaching.
