Mentorship is a valuable part of all learners' personal and professional development. We can be a resource to help connect you with peer or faculty mentors to support your goals and help build your community.
We support the administration of three equity mentorship programs. The Office of Inclusion & Diversity serves as an advisory support to these programs, along with being available as a resource to all mentee and mentor participants.

The MED DMP aims to connect undergraduate medical students or first year residents from structurally minoritized groups to faculty mentors who are able to support and assist them in their educational and professional growth and development.
The first round of matches for the 2024-25 cycle is complete.
Interested mentees can apply for second round matches based on availability.
The Rehabilitation Sciences Sector (RSS) recognizes that learners in MScOT, MScPT and MHSc-SLP programs who come from social, cultural, and or economically diverse communities face increased barriers in their academic and career journeys. Current learners in these clinical rehab programs can apply to be matched with a clinician mentor who is able to support in their educational and professional development.
Details on mentee and mentor applications will be available Fall 2024.
iLEAD stands forInspiring Leadership in Equity, Accessibility and Diversity. This is a two-tier longitudinal opportunity that connects 1) incoming first year medical students in the 2028 (2T8) class with current second year students and 2) current second year medical students in the 2027 (2T7) class with resident physicians.
The matching cycle for the 2024-25 cycle is complete.
Recruitment for 2T7 (second year MD) and resident mentors is ongoing. Interested 2T8 (first year MD) mentees can join a waitlist.
