Voices Surveys: Key Findings
The Voices Surveys are one means through which Temerty Medicine engages in an assessment of the clinical learning environment. The goal of the Voices Surveys is to obtain valid, reliable information about learners and faculty that helps Temerty Medicine deliver high quality training programs and optimize its learning and work environments. To achieve this goal, the surveys collect data that identify, measure and track key factors that influence the overall training and work experience. The Voices Surveys are conducted every two years with the exception of the Voice of the MD Entrant survey, which is conducted annually.
Results from the Voices surveys are instrumental in guiding future initiatives and measuring the impact of existing programs. To help drive action, de-identified and aggregated Voices survey data is shared with education leadership within Temerty Medicine and at our partner hospitals. More recently, collaborations have been developed with researchers to access Voices data to pursue scholarly activity in the realm of medical education and the learning environment.
Based on an analysis of survey data, our Key Findings documents summarize findings as well as Temerty Medicine initiatives and actions in recent years to improve the learning and teaching environment.
